Cadman Towers
Brooklyn, NY
A Mitchell-Lama cooperative building, the Cadman Towers residential complex was completed in 1972. Due to its age, many aspects of the building require upgrades, including wide-ranging scope at the plaza, garage and roof areas. At the plaza, this includes the complete demolition and repair of damaged structural slab, a newly installed waterproofing membrane, and new landscaping and lighting features. Garage work will include MEP system upgrades throughout, concrete sounding and patching work, and new line striping for the updated parking space layout. The roofs of both cooperative buildings are being fully replaced including parapet and bulkhead work. Overall, these new renovations and repairs will negate the need for future emergency work, create a more modern and useable space, and add value for stakeholders. Envoie’s role on the project is to coordinate the entire project team and also manage logistics for the construction work to proceed while the housing units and commercial spaces remain fully occupied.

“These developments were part not only of the makeover of Fulton Street, but the eastern part of Brooklyn Heights, where they introduced a jarring new scale, new materials, and a new style into the fine old row-house district."
