Hajjar STEM Center
Dwight-Englewood School

Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Envoie  was retained by Dwight-Englewood, a K-12 private school located in northern New Jersey, to develop the new 27,000 SF Hajjar STEM Center for its upper school students. The science, technology, engineering and math building was thoughtfully designed by Gensler Architects to capitalize on the growing trend in high school education towards cross- curriculum integration. The building features a grand staircase with stadium-style seating for school gatherings and an “Innovation Lab” which is centered upon a robotics workshop and experimentation area. The building received LEED certification in 2018.

“The new Hajjar STEM Center represents the best thinking about where we are going as a learning community...The three tenets which were constantly central to our vision -- ‘Learning Happens through Doing’, ‘Everything is Connected’, and ‘Any Time is a Teachable Moment’ -- are all supported by this building’s beautiful design.”
